Senior Full-Stack Developer

The Role and Company

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer based in France, with a strong REACT.js and .NET framework expertise.  Candidates should be creative and passionate about digital web and mobile apps, with excellent communication skills in both English and French.  The role will report to the CTO.

ieDigital and Connect are owned by Parabellum Investments, a family office operating as a private equity firm, founded and led by Rami Cassis, Chief Executive.  Our teams are located in France, the UK and United States.

 

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Design reliable, scalable and secure solutions
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Design and implement common library of reusable/configurable components to facilitate development and maintenance of Front-End solutions
  • Write clean well thought out code with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and maintainability, while also mentoring others to do the same.
  • Design and optimize solution for maximum speed, scalability and flexibility.
  • Monitor solution performance & usability problems and respond pro-actively on these issues
  • Plan future solution upgrades with the development team
  • Assist in the development of applications and features that will be surfaced both to external customers and to the internal team

Skills & Experience


  • A degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a front-end developer
  • Strong experience in delivering modern Front-End technologies, including REACT.js (mandatory) and .NET framework (mandatory)
  • Proficient understanding of .NET stack on the server side, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Proficient understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tool (Azure devOps)
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Previous experience with building solutions on Microsoft Azure
  • Detailed-oriented for User-Interface layout and graphical rendering
  • Good understanding of User-Experience best practices and market trends
  • Have a tendency to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly with a keen eye for detail
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates must be fluent in (written and spoken) English, and have strong conversational ability in French

Location


This role is based in France.  The role-holder will perform their work from the Company’s new office within the Nice area.  Initially, however, the role will be performed from the role-holder’s home, until the Company’s new office is open.
